短い丸太が互いを支え合い、大きな屋根をつくる、坂茂設計のクアパーク長湯。屋根を見上げると、一本一本の丸太が重なりながら連続し、温浴空間を覆っています。
芹川に沿って緩やかにカーブしながら延びる歩行湯は、往復約100m。その途中には温泉風呂や寝湯、飲泉所などがあり、歩くだけでなく、湯に身を委ねたり、立ち止まって景色を眺めたりしながら過ごせます。川沿いの風景の移り変わりと、さまざまな温泉の楽しみ方が、ひと続きになっています。
映像では、丸太が組み合う架構を間近に捉え、その下の温浴空間から、川沿いに延びる歩行湯へと視点を移します。緩やかなカーブに沿って進み、その長さと、少しずつ変わる風景をたどる。建築と周囲の自然がつながり、竹田の風景と温泉をともに楽しめる施設の広がりを伝えます。

Constructed from interlocking reciprocal logs that support one another to create a sweeping roof canopy, Kur Park Nagayu was designed by Shigeru Ban. Looking upward, an undulating succession of timber logs shelters the thermal bathing spaces below.
A walking bath gently curves alongside the Seri River, spanning approximately 100 meters round-trip. Along the circuit, hot spring baths, shallow reclining pools, and mineral drinking fountains invite visitors to soak, pause, and absorb the pastoral river views. The shifting landscape along the riverbanks merges seamlessly with the multifaceted bathing experience.
